Harry Fane 1970’s Lady’s Tank Lc Gold
Harry Fane is well know for his vintage watch and jewellery collections. Since 1978 he has been collecting pieces from Cartier Golden Years of the 1920s & 1930s. He is recognised as a world authority in this field with a special emphasis on the objets d'art.
The Tank LC (Louis Cartier) is, without doubt, Cartier’s most famous Tank watch design. Recognised throughout the world and still being sold today by Cartier practically unchanged from it’s original creation in 1922. This is the miniaturised version of the gentleman’s model. There is little more charming in all of Cartier’s creations than the watches made especially for women. They are delightful and elegant and have been worn by the world’s chicest women throughout the past 100 years. This example is dated to the late 1970’s
