Shihara is a Tokyo-based jewelry brand established by Yuta Ishihara in 2010, known for its minimalist design and conceptual approach. The brand cleverly treats earring backs and necklace closures as part of the design, challenging the question of how jewellery can be worn. Each of Shihara's precisely engineered pieces is crafted entirely by hand, from forming and polishing to stone setting. To preserve and develop these increasingly rare techniques, Shihara has established its own studio dedicated to craftsmanship.
