Exploring the idea of the community centre becoming an important social space, familiar objects associated with pubs, clubs and community halls are transformed into precious metal jewellery and objects. Centred on the bottle top, the collection reimagines an everyday, disposable object in sterling silver and gold. Its distinctive crimped edge is carried across a series of pieces, alongside references to the dimpled pint glass and bottle opener. Familiar forms are recast as lasting keepsakes, shifting the everyday into something to be treasured.
Produced in the United Kingdom using traditional techniques, the collection brings together Martine Rose’s exploration of everyday cultural references and Bunney’s dedication to considered craftsmanship.
